Prayer is far more than words…..it can also involve body language.  The definition of body language is the process of communicating nonverbally through conscious or unconscious gestures and movements.  Our bodies can underscore or confuse the message we want to convey and when it comes to communing with God our bodies can help us engage our total being in fellowship with God.

This pray walk has been created to help you engage all that God has created – your spirt, soul and body.  If you are open to some biblically-supported postures, these simple changes may bring a deeper awareness of and intimacy with the Lord.  Positioning your body is not a “magic bullet” to deeper communication with the Lord, simply open yourself up to the possibilities as you commune with the Almighty!

What is provided?

In the download you’ll find the Informational/Instructional sheets for 4 or 5 stations.  You do not need much, as far as added resources.  You may find that a kneeler is helpful and you’ll want to provide chairs.  Obviously, you can decorate your prayer stations as you’d like, but we (SLD) have used wooden art figurines at our stations, which we found at IKEA.  Here is a link to the figurines if you’d like to use them as well.
