I enjoy mysteries. As a young girl I read all of the available Nancy Drew mysteries. Growing up, I would try to discover my Christmas gifts early, through whatever means necessary. That would almost bring more delight that the actual gift, even though it was not enjoyable for the gift giver. At the same time I enjoy being surprised. I know, it’s confusing.

Recently a group of friends attended one of those mystery rooms. Navigating our way there to the location was a mystery in itself, but we finally located the business in the midst of an office complex. And so the fun began…flowers, electrical boxes, and telephone not to be touched – whoa, what can we touch? Keys, holes in doors and walls, locks with number combinations and letter combinations, dominos, braille alphabet, roulette wheel, chess board, cards, pictures, puzzles, etc. Fortunately, the combination of the six of us working together AND a little help from clues on a video screen, we made it out of the final locked door. The mystery was solved!

“Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages pastbut now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him.” –Roman 16:25-25 NIV
