See Him Working & Be Blessed

It’s incredible to take a step back and enjoy the view. Have you ever tried that? With anything. Maybe you cooked dinner, and it was a hit. Right before you start setting the table, you take a step back and enjoy your creation. Maybe even take some mental notes. Maybe you just finished a huge task like cleaning out your basement, and now that it is done, you step back, and you enjoy your accomplishment. You think of what you learned from this, maybe a new recipe, maybe a new way of not letting things accumulate in the basement. But in any event, you enjoy the view. There is a sense of fulfillment and happiness that you can almost taste.

Rarely do all of these things that lead to us to taking a step back to enjoy our accomplishment come easy. Rarely is the case where we want to sit back and enjoy something that has not been a challenge to us to complete, to see it through. It’s as if they come together – hard-work and effort first, then the enjoyment.

Sometimes in our Christian walk, after trials and tribulations come our way, and we have finally made it to the other side, we can take a step back and enjoy the view of where we are in our lives. One can almost taste the sweetness of arriving at that place where we knew we needed to get to but somehow could not figure out. Sometimes, we can take a step back and see how God has been working in our lives for our good. We can see how His map was the best and only option to get to this new sweet spot.

In the midst of trouble, it is our human nature to look at all possible options and choose the best one to ensure our safety. There is an urgency to see that situation come to an end. We have given it enough thought, talked about it with friends and family, and therefore have come to the correct decision. It must be the right decision. Is what we tell ourselves.  But have we surrendered that situation to Christ?

See, there was no hesitation from the basement or the meal preparation that said to you – well, I think…there was no let me think about it…there was no pullback. You had over all the access. But does Christ have full access over you? Do you allow Him to show you, teach you, help you grow in the midst of turbulent times in your life? Times of change? Do you seek God’s guidance on how you should respond to your situation? Is there an opportunity being created there for you to sit back and enjoy the sweet taste of where you are in Christ? Where He has brought you.

Friends, some of us have experienced more trouble than in all of our lives combined these past few months. Death, loss, and uncertainty have been the most common reality. Yet, God is still working. Yet, we can step back and see how God has been working in our lives and in the life of those whom we love. I hear testimonies of healing, testimonies of great gain in the midst of uncertainty. Christians are sharing what the Spirit is doing in them, through them.  I know He is working. While the earth is being shaken beneath our feet, we can still stand firm, secure in Lord, because He alone is our safety. Friends be encouraged today. He is at work. He is working.

Friends, please pray with me:

Lord, I thank you for all whom this message will reach. I thank you for your goodness and mercy. I pray for all of my brothers and sisters who have received this message today. Lord, touch their heart and open their eyes to see how you are working in their lives and around them. Lord, I pray for renewed spirits as these words get read or spoken. There is nothing impossible for you, Lord. We trust you with our lives and our future, our family, and our children. We cling on to your promises today and ask for new strength to keep trusting you with all our hearts. To keep being Lord of our lives. Thank you for your hope. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

Challenge:

Can you see God working in your life?

Scripture:

Hebrews: 13:5

God said,
I will never
Leave you or forsake you.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Psalm 46:1

God is out refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble

Romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Please enjoy this word of worship and receive His blessing today over you.
